Potential production companies that my produce my film
In this post I will be looking at different production companies that may produce my film. I will be outlining why they would be appropriate for my sports drama film.
1) The first production company I will be looking at is Warner Brothers Production. This production company is responsible for the critically acclaimed movie "Invictus"one of the only rugby movies that had world class actors such as Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon staring in it. This movie was nominated for countless awards and made 122.2 million in the box office extremely high numbers for a rugby movie as there are not many out there produced with this type of quality. The production team did an outstanding job at really depicting the sport of rugby and the culture built around it, even having the character of Jonah Lomu who is a rugby legend showed they had done their research on the sport.
2) The second production company I will be looking at is the well know Columbia Pictures. This company has produced sporting dramas such as concussion staring Will Smith, an extremely well received movie about the damage American football can do to your brain. They are a well respected production company and one that has made countless award winning movies. The parent company of this production company is Sony Pictures Entertainment
3) The third production company I will be looking into is Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. This is another extremely well known production company which has produced the hit sporting drama franchise Creed. Due to they're experience in making a sporting drama which grips there audience and there accurate depiction of a brutal sport such as boxing, I feel like they would be able to show the grit and grind of a sport like rugby.
4) The fourth production company I will be looking at is United Artists. This company has made the most famous sporting drama franchise of all time that being the Rocky franchise. The production company saw gold when Sylvester Stallone came to them with a script and a idea, they then produced that into one of the most famous franchises of all time.
5) The firth production company I will be looking at is Walt Disney Productions. This is probably one of the most well known production companies they have created a wide variety of films from all different genres this includes sporting dramas. They created the movie McFarland, USA which was critically acclaimed.
In regards to my movie my first option of a production company would definitely be Warners Brothers Production due to the success they have had creating a sports drama based around rugby which is also the sport of choice for my movie. They understood the culture around the sport and also implemented some rugby legends into their movie creating satisfaction with rugby communities around the world.
My second option would be Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, due to there recent success with the Creed franchises. This shows that they understand the modern audience as the movies were released recently, also the brutality of the sport of rugby is displayed extremely well, which would have to be done with a sporting drama based around rugby.
