Genres-Sports Drama Introduction

The genre of the opening scene and trailer I will be looking at is from the Sports Drama genre.


I will be researching the genre looking into many different variables such as:

•  character types and the functions they create in the narrative
• Typical story lines which are used in the sports drama genre 
• The iconography associated with sports dramas
• The way music is featured into the genre and the affect it creates
• The use of camera shots and editing that is found in sports drama and the meaning they create
• And also the iconic films from the genre
