Opening Sequence 3 - The Dictator

The dictator is a comedy film created in 2012 which is co-written by Sacha baron Cohen. He also stars in the movie as the ruthless dictator of the fictional republic of Wadiya who's name is Aladeen. The film is a typical comedy movie however the first opening scene of the movie is unique as it is filmed in a ''mockumentary'' which gives it the appearance of a serious documentary however in this movie it contrasts with the usual serious tone of a documentary and then turns it on its head and adds bits of humour into it which is a juxtaposition  from the usual nature of a documentary. This creates a extremely funny opening scene bound to make the audience laugh. The main character (Aladeen) is shown to be a child inside of a mans body, a man with a massive amount of power. This shows how mentally unstable the character is but at the same time how much of a kid he is and its just that his up brining has turned him into this person. In the beginning of the movie their is also a far way shot which's main goal is to show the extravagant house of the crazy dictator as we look at his palace we see that his garden has two massive faces of him made by swimming pools and plants. This creates a hilarious moment as it shows his wealth but at the same time his ego and his childish nature. In the opening mockumentary their is a section were it shows Aladeen running in his own personal Olympics, he starts of the race and is clearly slower than everyone else however all of a sudden he takes a gun out and starts shooting the other runners so that we would win. Then we runs out of breath so the people holding the banister come closer to allow him to win in a even easier way
