Opening Sequence 4 - Saving private Ryan
Saving private Ryan is one of the most Iconic war films ever created realised in 1998. The extremely historically accurate movie was directed by Steven Spielberg, starring Tom Hanks. The movies plot revolves around an unknown private called Private Ryan, The mission to bring him back alive. The movie starts off with one of the most graphic opening sequences ever. The sequence depicts the battle of normandy beach otherwise known as D DAY, a battle known for its extremely high death rate. This is nothing but the truth in the movie too, Stephen Spielberg depicts the battle with utmost realism.The movie then progress with Captain John miller (Tom Hanks) taking his small group of men behind enemy lines in order to find Private James Ryan, We later find out the reason for the rescue of private Ryan is due to all three of his other brothers loosing there lives in the war. The group of soldiers set out on the journey to find this Private, it changes them both physically with many of them being injured of loosing their lives. The extremely accurate direction of the war allows us to see into the characters heads and makes the personal journey of this mission more easy to see for the audience.
